George Michael purchased the home in the strictest secrecy--or so he thought. I first learned of the negotiations when I received an excited call from one of the carpenters who had worked on the home. So much for secrecy. Since I listen only to classical music I had never heard of George Michael, but eventually I received a call from his property manager asking me to design a new entrance gate. The day the above article appeared the cat was out of the bag, and the tabloids were quick to follow.

My relationship with the new owner was disappointing. After completion of the entrance gate there was built a chain-link fence and an elaborate security system and I soon discovered I was locked out. The Myers had often invited me to their parties where my rather spectacular design would elicit enough compliments to keep me going for two weeks, but somehow George Michael's invitations were lost in the mail, and my only visits were for the purpose of making repairs.

I still prefer classical music.
