The kitchen not only shared space with the family room where most meals were served, but it was conveniently adjacent to the dining room and a breakfast porch as well. Although the kitchen was separated from the living room, it was not isolated. In fact, it was an ideal home for entertaining, as can be seen by studying the floor plan.
